We had a wonderful night here. Imaginative takes on traditional cuisine with matching regional wines. Here’s the menu.
Joe presiding over table.
Here’s the bread platter. All house made, all delicious, chocolate and coconut the most interesting.
First course, half eaten. Shredded lamb and coconut-cilantro sauce. Delicious.
Second course. Nikkei ceviche with smaller key shrimp, sole and caramelised octopus in leche de tigre. Delicious.
Eleanor enjoying dinner despite coming down with a cold.
Third course. Catch of the day in encocada coconut and aniseed bun.
A palate cleanser. So cold! Great serving method.
Here’s me about to enjoy my favourite course. which was Quail marinated with achiote, Oaxacan mole, corn tortilla and black beans.
Fifth course. Braised pork in Colombian coffee and sugarcane reduction. You could really taste the coffee which I wasn’t so keen on but everyone else loved it.
Here’s Patrick about to embark on desserts.
Sixth course. Ecuadorean cacao truffle with salt and olive oil. Amazing combination.
But this was my favourite dessert. Sweet potato sorbet with creamy goat cheese, candied lemon peel and hibiscus meringue.
All the wines were great and the staff friendly and very professional. Another great night in Buenos Aires.
